In Cornelius, Charlotte Water crews had to respond yesterday to waste-water overflows near 18246 Mainsail Pointe Drive as well as the 18000 block of Peninsula Club. An estimated 84 gallons reached Lake Norman after a contractor accidentally damaged a pipe on Mainsail Pointe, according to Charlotte Water. The spill on Peninsula Club was about 120 gallons.
