VolunteerNC announced yesterday North Carolina has received $11.5 million in funding from AmeriCorps to support nearly 700 AmeriCorps members to serve with 21 organizations across the state. AmeriCorps is a federally funded national service program. Among a long list, service opportunities in North Carolina include mentoring children and providing health services.
