Under Roy Cooper’s Proposed State Budget, the NC Zoo Aviary May Have a Brand New Facility

The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro announced recently that it would be permanently closing the zoo’s aviary due to the avian flu and because the facility was in disarray. In the state budget, Roy Cooper proposes allocating $5 million to demolish and replace the facility.
