Starting tonight, an Iredell County ramp will be closed near Interstate 40 for a construction project. Beginning at 8 p.m., the ramp on Sullivan Road (U.S. 21) to access I-40 East will be closed to allow crews to join the existing ramp with the new concrete pavement on I-40. Work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Monday. All traffic heading to I-40 East from U.S. 21 in Statesville will be detoured to I-40 West to N.C. 115 (Exit 150) and back onto I-40 East. Motorists are reminded to use additional caution when approaching the work zone and allow extra time for detours.
