First responders in Lincoln County are mourning the loss of a longtime public servant. The South Fork Fire Department confirmed Captain Phillip Connor passed away on Friday from COVID-19 complications. He was 52 years old. In a post shared on Facebook, the department highlighted Connor, saying he was “one of a kind” and served in many different roles, including on the board of directors, department secretary and had more than 10 years of service.
