A Salisbury woman has been charged in the murder of her husband at a hotel in Maggie Valley. Police there say they responded to domestic disturbance call and when they arrived on the scene, they found Wayne Evans, 57, of Salisbury, unresponsive in a room the couple was sharing. Rhonda Rankin-Evans, 47, is in custody at the Haywood County Detention Center without bond. An investigation is underway. No further details were given.
