Hourly Pay – Based on Experience

WSIC is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Producer to support our radio shows, podcasts, and studio operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who is a fan of the Lake Norman area, has a genuine interest in media production, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position supports daily radio production and podcast content across WSIC’s platforms and studios.

Responsibilities

Studio & Show Support

  • Greet WSIC guests and hosts

  • Work in both the Cornelius and Statesville WSIC studios (as needed)

  • Fill in hosting duties for The Home Ad Show and Good Morning LKN (as needed)

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of podcast and live radio recording equipment

    • Microphones, mixers, headphones, cameras, lighting, etc.

  • Support live and recorded radio shows and podcast sessions

  • Prepare studio spaces for hosts and guests

Production & Operations

  • Organize, label, and upload audio/video files

  • Assist with basic editing, exports, and show notes (as needed)

  • Help manage studio schedules and session logistics

  • Maintain studio and office cleanliness, organization, and equipment inventory

  • Provide general production and administrative support to the WSIC team

Qualifications

Required

  • Fan of the Lake Norman area and local community

  • Strong interest in media production, podcasting, audio, or content creation

  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable following checklists and workflows

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to learn new tools and production systems

Preferred (Not Required)

    • Coursework, internships, or personal projects in audio, video, or media

    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and podcasting equipment

    • Customer service, hospitality, or studio experience

    • Familiarity with podcast platforms and social media content

Sales Associate

WSIC News | Lake Norman, NC

WSIC is seeking a driven, community-focused Sales Associate to build and manage a personal book of business selling advertising and sponsorship solutions across WSIC Radio and Lake Norman Woman Magazine.

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes Lake Norman, thrives on relationship-based sales, and understands how local media helps businesses grow.

Location & Work Structure

  • Must live in the Lake Norman area or surrounding communities

  • Position is fully remote

  • Occasional in-person meetings, community networking, and local engagement are required

What You’ll Do

Sales & Business Development

  • Build and manage your own book of business across WSIC Radio and Lake Norman Woman Magazine

  • Sell advertising, sponsorships, and integrated marketing solutions to local businesses

  • Identify new prospects and develop long-term advertiser relationships

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups

  • Collaborate with WSIC’s sales, digital, and editorial teams to create customized campaigns

Community Engagement

  • Actively network within the Lake Norman community

  • Attend local events, business functions, and networking opportunities

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for WSIC and Lake Norman Woman Magazine

Compensation

  • 100% Commission based

  • We pay the highest commission in the marketplace and offer extensive training on all our offereings.
