Part-Time Producer

WSIC is looking for a dependable, motivated Part-Time Producer to support our live radio shows, podcasts, and studio operations across our Cornelius and Statesville studios.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in media production, broadcasting, podcasting, or audio content creation who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced local media environment.
Responsibilities

Assist with live radio show and podcast production

Greet guests and help prepare hosts and studio spaces

Set up and break down microphones, headphones, mixers, cameras, and recording equipment

Support producers and on-air talent during live broadcasts and recordings

Organize and upload audio/video files

Assist with basic editing and production tasks as needed

Maintain studio organization and equipment inventory

Help with general production and administrative needs
Qualifications
-
Strong interest in radio, podcasting, media, or content creation

Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

Comfortable working in a team environment

Willingness to learn studio equipment and production workflows

Comfortable working in both our Cornelius and Statesville studios
Preferred (But Not Required)

Experience as an audio engineer or familiarity with audio equipment

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or editing software

Previous media, podcast, radio, or production experience
Physical & Schedule Requirements

Ability to lift and move equipment when needed

Flexible schedule with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends

Approximately 20 hours per week
