The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a Rowan County road for a construction project starting next week. From May 9th-13th, Heilig Road will be closed between Chamandy Drive and Faith Road to allow crews to safely install a left turn lane at the intersection of Heilig and Faith roads. Traffic will follow a detour route using Old Concord Road, Jake Alexander Boulevard and Faith Road to return to Heilig Road.
