A man died early this morning after being hit by a car while walking on I-440 in Raleigh, news outlets reported. The crash occurred around 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-440 near Lake Boone Trail, authorities told ABC11. Investigators said that multiple cars had stopped in the area, but it was not clear how many were involved in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
