The 2.4-mile Rodanthe Bridge that will carry N.C. 12 around an especially vulnerable stretch of the Outer Banks is scheduled to open to traffic this month. But before the cars take over, residents and visitors of Hatteras Island will be able to walk, run and cycle across the bridge on Saturday, April 9th.
