The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services yesterday reported 3,778 new cases of COVID-19 statewide, and 2,651 related hospitalizations. There were 54 deaths between Friday’s NCDHHS report and yesterday’s. On July 16, there were 536 people hospitalized due to COVID in North Carolina, up from 492 on July 15th.
