The Cabarrus County School Board voted Monday to make masks optional starting October 26th. The decision follows a COVID taskforce meeting last week, in which members changed the criteria that determines whether students should mask. The metric includes data specific to the school system, which they feel paint a more relevant picture than previous methods.
