Rowan County yesterday announced that their efforts were successful in attracting Macy’s to the area. The new retail giant will occupy 1.4 million square feet for its Rowan distribution center. The company will create 2,800 full-time jobs by the end of 2028. Macy’s is also planning to create more than 2,000 seasonal part-time jobs. The company plans to invest over $584 million in new construction and equipment.
