In High Point, a pickup truck crossed a median causing a crash that killed 21-year-old Sunshine Nichole Williams of Lexington, officials said. Williams was driving south on U.S. 29 when police say a pickup truck that had been going north veered into oncoming traffic and hit her car. Williams died at the scene. The crash also left two people hurt and closed the highway for several hours on Saturday, according to the High Point Police Department.
