New COVID cases climbed back over 1,000 in yesterday’s coronavirus report, but its new case volume is one-seventh of what it was on February 1st. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services reported 1,231 new cases yesterday. The total Monday was 909 new cases, a seven-month low. There were no new cases reported in Cornelius for the first time since early November.
