Jerry Andre Melton, a Wilson man, was sentenced yesterday to 216 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute 280 grams or more of cocaine base and 500 grams or more of cocaine. Melton was the leader of an armed drug trafficking organization that operated in Wilson and Nash Counties, and he was the final member of the organization to be sentenced.
