United Press International is reporting the Vice President traveled to North Carolina yesterday to announce that 1 million new households have signed up to save on home broadband through the Affordable Connectivity Program. The White House said in a statement that the ACP provides $65 billion through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to expand high-speed Internet access. The program provides households that are eligible up to $30 per month off Internet bills. For native Americans, it’s $75 per month on tribal lands. It also gives a one-time $100 discount off a connected device. PHOTO credit: WBTV
