Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies were in the right place at the right time Sunday night when they stopped a vehicle in Iredell County for multiple traffic violations. The deputies noticed stolen property in the car and connected the driver, Carolton McCrimmon, to an assault that had taken place earlier at Hanes Mall in Winston Salem. McCrimmon was arrested and charged with assault and discharging a firearm to incite fear. It turns out McCrimmon had also robbed the Home Depot store in the University area of Charlotte.
