Iredell Free News is reporting that Iredell County Sheriff Darren E. Campbell was sworn in for a third term in office yesterday morning at Beulah Baptist Church. Campbell, a Republican, was unopposed in the November 8th general election. Since being in office, Campbell’s department has brought the crime rate down 53 percent, established a lake patrol and staffed every school located in the unincorporated areas of the county with a school resource officer.
