The United States Attorney announced that today in federal court that Levi Isidoro Velasco-Hernandez, age 40, born in Mexico and residing in Johnston County, was convicted of ten counts of indecent liberties with a child. He was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of between 10 and 20 years and ordered to register as a sex offender. According to the indictments to which he pled guilty, Velasco committed the crimes as early as January 1st of 2017.
