Human Remains Found in Fire Pit at Cary Home, Man Found Inside with Self-inflicted Gunshot Wound

WNCN is reporting that firefighters discovered a self-inflicted gunshot shooting victim while responding to a small fire at a Cary home yesterday, according to the Cary Police Department. A neighbor called 9-1-1. When fire crews arrived, they said they found a fire in a backyard homemade fire pit and extinguished it. Fire crews said that it appeared that the homeowner was burning trash related to a major home renovation project.
