The News & Observer of Raleigh is reporting that a historical position in with the Okracoke Lighthouse was flooded with applicants a little over a day after it was advertised. An “overwhelming” amount of people wanted to be a lighthouse keeper for the summer and the position was filled the day after being advertised.
