Fox 46 is reporting that the 91st ‘Grand Daddy of North Carolina BBQ’s’ event at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, which was to have taken place today, has been canceled for the second year in a row amid concerns over rising COVID-19 cases. Church leaders said the decision was made “after much prayer and deliberation,” citing the health and safety of the hundreds of volunteers and thousands of visitors as the main reason for canceling the event.
