Futuristic $11 Million Pedestrian Bridge Coming to Charlotte Over I-277

Charlotte City Planners just unveiled a radical new design for the highly anticipated pedestrian bridge over I-277 that will eventually link South End with Uptown. According to Charlotte’s official Rail Trail Bridge page“This project will provide a new bicycle and pedestrian connection over I-277 from the CATS Blue Line Stonewall Station to where the existing Rail Trail ends under the East Morehead Street bridge, north of Carson Street.
