Full Circle Moment for TV Show “Jeopardy!” Involves Two North Carolina Women

On Wednesday, North Carolina made game show history when Jackie Kelly, a pension calculation developer from Cary won “Jeopardy!” The date was exactly sixty-four years to the day that Mary Cabell Eubanks from Candor, won the show’s very first contest which aired on March 30th, 1964. Eubanks took home $345, which in today’s economy would be the equivalent of slightly more than $3,000. Photo credit: Jeopardy!
