An investigation is underway after a home under construction on Alpine Circle in Statesville caught fire yesterday morning. Fire Marshall David Souther says there aren’t a lot of details at this point other than no one was at the house and there was no electricity connected. The fire is being considered suspicious and a joint investigation between the Statesville Fire Marshall’s office and Statesville Sheriff’s Department is under way.
