Historian Steve Hill will lead a walk through downtown Statesville on Oct. 6 as he shares a host of spooky stories about the city.
The event is called Statesville After Dark and involves some serious ghost stories. This walk is best suited for teens and older, according to the folks at Concord Presbyterian Church in Loray who helped organize the event.
The story-telling will begin at 7 p.m. on the corner of Center and Broad streets under Statesville’s historic clock tower.
Hill, a former educator, is an author and oversees the Statesville Historical Collection on Center Street.
The event is free and there is no registration. Simply show up and listen to Hill’s frightful tales in honor of the approach of Halloween.
