Early in-person voting began yesterday for the July 26th local elections for positions to serve in over a dozen North Carolina municipalities or counties. Voters in Charlotte, Greensboro, Hickory, and Mooresville are choosing mayors, city council members, or both. Mayors Vi Lyles of Charlotte and Nancy Vaughan of Greensboro are both seeking reelection. The elections also include a runoff for Mayor and two at-large council seats in Statesville.
