A Durham man, Trey Deshawn Christie, pleaded guilty to shooting a police dog last March. He faces four charges: assault on a law enforcement animal; resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer; breaking and entering; and larceny after breaking and entering. He was sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation under a plea deal in Durham County Superior Court.
