Durham Charter School was today honored at an award ceremony for being named a “National ESEA Distinguished School” by the National ESEA Network. Across the country, 55 schools were named 2022 National ESEA Distinguished Schools. The public charter school serves 625 students, 95% of whom qualify for free and reduced lunch. It recently posted the tenth-highest academic growth out of 2,500 schools in North Carolina.
