The body of an unidentified man was discovered in a field off a road in eastern Rowan County on Saturday, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. Two people found the body in the area of 275 File Road. Investigators say the man had probably been dead between 2-4 days. The cause of death has not been determined. Major Sifford said that the body will be sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
