WCNC is reporting that with students returning to the classroom today, safety is at top of mind for parents. Several districts are offering new measures to help keep students safe. A few examples include Iredell-Statesville Schools adding body scanners at athletic events, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools introducing body scanners at all of its high schools and Cabarrus County assigning a school resource officer to every single school.
