With summer approaching, none of the approved AC installation has begun in state prisons. WRAL TV reports that although most prisons have at least some air conditioning and over 15,000 beds are in unairconditioned rooms, according to a breakdown provided by the state. Roy Cooper plans to have the first three projects completed around the start of next year.
