TapInto.com is reporting that 33-year-old New Jersey native Damean Bates has been arrested here in North Carolina in connection with a November 2021 fatal shooting in Jersey City, according to authorities. Bates was taken into custody in by the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District of North Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force after members of their New York/New Jersey task force learned of his location. Bates has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He remains in custody in North Carolina awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
