WSOC TV is reporting that an airline worker, animal rescue and foster family stepped up to help after a dog was surrendered by its owner at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The former owner of the dog, who did not want to be identified, said she tried to take Baby Girl with her when she moved from Shelby to Iowa. The former owner told Channel 9 she surrendered the dog at the airport because the crate would not fit under her seat.
