Will Weir, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Langtree Charter Academy, joined Good Morning LKN live from The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen to discuss the growth of the school’s football program and the importance of student-athlete development. With experience playing college football and coaching at both the collegiate and high school levels, Coach Weir shares how the team has progressed from a 1-10 varsity debut season to a 3-3 start, driven by stronger leadership, experience, and a growing roster.

He also highlights Langtree Charter’s competitive basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer programs while emphasizing how high school athletics build relationships, develop character, and create opportunities for students beyond the field. As the football program continues to grow, his focus remains on building depth, developing players, and establishing a foundation for long-term success in the Lake Norman community.
