Total costs have risen for the West Catawba Phase 2 project through the NCDOT and that will delay the completion date even further. Of the seven projects slated, this one is the biggest concern. The estimated date for seeking construction bids has been pushed back two years, from August 2024 to March 2026. That means the project will not be completed until 2029.
