This week on Good Morning LKN, we were joined by Wende Whitus, freelance location scout and creative retreat workshop leader, to talk about the growing film and commercial production industry across the Charlotte and Lake Norman region. From finding hidden waterfalls and iconic small-town streets to scouting homes, farms, and unique properties for national commercials, Wende shared how North Carolina continues to attract producers looking for that “anywhere in America” feel.

Wende is currently searching for several homes to be used in a commercial for a major grocery store chain filming in mid-June, and homeowners whose properties are selected are compensated for their participation. She also shared how her personal monthly retreat practice helped shape both her creative career and wellness-centered workshops designed to help others step back, reflect, and reset.
