Tuesday night at approximately 7:15pm, the Statesville PD responded to a call regarding a vehicle hitting a pedestrian on Turnersburg Hwy near North Point Blvd. Kenneth Stewart, 34, of Statesville, was walking on the side of the roadway and was struck by the vehicles side view mirror. Mr. Stewart was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for treatment of his injuries and was in surgery early yesterday. A juvenile driver was at fault.
