The Cornelius Police Department and the FBI are following up on a tip from a user in the Find Madalina Cojacari Facebook group, who said she was traveling to California on July 5th and stopped in at a gas station in Weaverville, just outside of Asheville. The woman said a little girl fitting Madalina’s description asked for a ride “up north.” The poster said the girl looked a lot like Madalina.
