The V Foundation for Cancer Research, named after the late NC State basketball Coach Jim Valvano, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the organization’s inception tomorrow. It all started with the coach’s famous ESPYs speech on March 4, 1993. This year, the V Foundation will promote initiatives and events aligned with advancing cancer research and saving lives. It begins with a Giving Week campaign starting tomorrow and continuing through Valvano’s birthday next Friday, including a 1:1 match for all donations (up to $175,000) thanks to generous partners of the organization.
