A contractor for the NCDOT has begun installation of a new section of storm drainage in Statesville. The affected area is Knox Street between East Broad Street and Valley Street. The work, which is scheduled to be completed March 6th, is part of a larger project to improve the I-40/I-77 interchange and provide better access management on East Broad Street. Motorists will need to utilize Cynthia Street to Knox Street during this closure.
