The Statesville Police Department has hired a group of retired detectives to help solve cold cases. Currently, detectives are looking for the person responsible for the homicide of Ethel Weaver back in January of 1992. Ms. Weaver was found stabbed in her bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence. Investigators spoke with several subjects but were unable to identify a suspect in the case.
