Axios Charlotte is reporting that online sports betting is close to becoming legal in North Carolina. Last week, House Bill 347 passed in the NC House of Representatives 64-45. It will go on to the Senate, which approved a sports betting bill in 2021. Democrat Roy Cooper has said he will sign the bill.
