Yesterday, the North Carolina Senate passed House Bill 76 to increase Medicaid eligibility, sending the bill back to the House for a final vote on the floor. This is part of Cooper’s creation of a statewide Office of Violence Prevention. By coordinating efforts across state agencies and partnering with local leaders, the new office will focus on reducing violence and firearm misuse in North Carolina.
