Sarah Porter, Executive Director of Cook Community Clinic, joined Good Morning LKN to share how the nonprofit provides free medical and dental care for uninsured individuals and families across Mecklenburg County and South Iredell, including the Lake Norman area. For more than 27 years, the clinic has helped patients access primary care, medications, labs, and dental services—often giving people a medical home when healthcare costs force difficult choices between rent, food, and doctor visits. Sarah also highlighted the power of community partnerships and donations that allow the clinic to serve thousands of patients with dignity and compassion.
