An NCDOT contractor will begin a bridge replacement project in Rowan County next week that is expected to last about six months. Beginning Monday, Agner Road will be closed in both directions near Stokes Ferry Road allowing the contractor to replace the current bridge with an updated structure that will address traffic volumes and improve safety. The project will cost $792,315. The road is expected to be reopened by September 8th. Traffic will be detoured to Stokes Ferry Road, Providence Church Road and Bringle Ferry Road to return to Agner Road.
