The Town of Mooresville held a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3pm yesterday at the department’s new police station at West Wilson Avenue and Charlotte Highway. Around 100 people attended the event at the 50,000 square foot station, including VIPs Mayor Miles Atkins and Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Qualls, Thurman Houston, Tommy DeWeese, Bobby Compton, and Gary West. The new facility was a $20 million dollar investment for the town. This new location replaces the current location at West Plaza Drive and West Iredell Avenue. PHOTO credit: Heather Gessler
