Cornelius Today is reporting that Ray and Erin Evernham will give $500,000 to Novant Health’s developmental and behavioral pediatrics program to expand programs and resources that can lead to an earlier autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. Ray Evernham is the co-founder of IGNITE, which offers activities, skills training, and educational workshops for young adults with high functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame crew chief and car owner, star of “Glory Road” and “AmeriCarna” television shows, is also the host of the annual AmeriCarna LIVE Car Show, benefiting IGNITE.
