Nine North Carolina public charter schools earned the Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) “Purple Star Award Designation” for their commitment to military students and families. According to DPI, the Purple Star designation “is awarded to schools that demonstrate military-friendly practices and a commitment to military students and families.”
